tuneUp is ear training software to help improve your ability to recognize out of tune pitches. The software is available as a free iPhone app and iPad app. The app features four levels of difficulty: Easy (40 cents of pitch difference), Medium (20 cents), Hard (10 cents), and Expert (5 cents). The app includes piano samples for free, and offers other instruments through in-app purchasing. The full set of samples can be unlocked for $1.99
The image shown here shows the basics of gameplay. The main task is to correctly guess the tuning of the "2" pitch. Maximize points by playing the tones fewer times. After three incorrect answers, the game will end, although 3 extra lives are available. Shoot for the top score.
